It Wasn't EASY
Pero alam mo, hindi ganito ang buhay ko dati...
I was surviving on a Php12,000 monthly salary. Clueless about online freelancing. Until one day, I read an email from Bro. Bo Sanchez.
Back then, I had two simple dreams. One, to earn more and become debt-free. Two, to work from home and finally have time freedom.
But it was not easy. Wala kaming internet sa bahay. Work-from-another-home ako para lang makapag online. My 10 to 12 hour day job barely paid the bills. Pero alam ko, I had to learn Facebook Ads if I really wanted a better life.
Kahit risky, umutang ako at nag-enroll kay Sir Jomar Hilario. Php100,000 ang inutang ko — para sa 6 years ko bilang HR na gustong mag-iba ng career.

In 2017, after countless applications, I finally landed my first client as a Facebook Ads Specialist. And when I got my first sahod, nag-resign na ako.
February 13, 2017 — that day changed my life. From that moment on, I was working full-time online. That risk? Sobrang worth it. ✨
Sa mga nagtatanong kung kaya bang pagsabayin ang freelancing at day job, ang sagot ay YES.
Pero… It really takes a lot of sacrifices. Sobrang mapupuyat ka.
Ako noon, full-time HR Specialist. From 8 AM to 6 PM ang trabaho ko. Then freelancing work started around 9 PM. Madalas umaabot ako ng 1 AM or 2 AM.
Gigising ulit ako ng maaga para mag-prepare for corporate work. Lagi akong pagod, laging puyat.
Pero lahat ng efforts ko, nagbunga.
After 30 days ng pag-resign ko, nakuha ko ang second client ko. Isang eCommerce store owner from the USA.
Big time sila. We were spending millions of US dollars monthly on ads. Syempre, nanlaki ang mata ko noon.
Pero lahat ng pagod at hirap, super worth it.
Dahil doon, ang dami kong natutunan. As in, iba talaga kapag na-experience mo firsthand.
Doon ko naranasan mag-launch ng 500 ad sets sa isang araw, mag-track ng metrics sa Ads Manager, at gumawa ng data reports para malaman kung profitable ang online stores.
Nabigyan din ako ng access sa Shopify. Doon ko nakita kung gaano kalaki ang actual sales ng client.
Sobrang na-curious ako sa eCommerce simula noon. Lalo na sa potential nito.
Then, I discovered na meron palang Facebook group for Pinoys doing eCommerce.
Nag-join ako kasi sobrang gusto ko talagang matutunan ang eCommerce.
Nag-attend pa ako ng 2-day eCommerce workshop.
Napansin ko na ang dami nilang natuturo na topics. Pero kung wala kang masyadong alam, lalo na sa Facebook Ads, medyo mahihirapan kang sumabay.
A few weeks later, habang naglilinis ako ng files sa laptop…
I discovered something.
Nakita ko yung isang video tutorial na ginawa ko noon para sa prospect client ko. Way back 2017 pa. Part ito ng requirement nila noon.
Naisip ko, bakit hindi ko i-share sa eCommerce Facebook group? Malay mo, makatulong sa iba.
So, without any hesitation, in-upload ko yung video sa group.
Dahil doon, ang daming members ang nag-message, nag-send ng friend request, at nagtatanong about Facebook Ads. Paano mag-set up, paano mag-scale, paano mag-track metrics, at kung anu-ano pa.
Honestly, nagulat ako sa dami ng tanong.
Sa totoo lang, wala naman akong balak magturo.
I just wanted to share what I know to help others. That’s it.
Teaching was never in my plans. Feeling ko kasi impatient ako at strict, kaya never ko naisip na magiging teacher ako someday.
Pero dumating sa point na sobrang dami na talagang nagtatanong. It was taking up so much of my time. Doon ko narealize na ang daming matutulungan kung magtuturo ako.
July 2018, binuksan ko ang first batch ng students na tinuruan ko ng Facebook Ads.
And that’s how my journey as a mentor began.
Something unexpected happened that tested my strength, patience, and faith.
Some people bashed me and my program.
I received negative feedback about my course. People started saying bad things about me.
It was devastating. I reached a point where I wanted to give up teaching because the attacks were too much to handle.
But I paused and reflected.
Instead of dwelling on the pain, I chose to look at the challenges differently.
I reverse-engineered my setbacks. I used the negative feedback to improve myself and my course.
Hinugot ko yung inspirasyon sa mga taong naniwala at nagtiwala, kahit sa kabila ng lahat ng di magandang nangyari.
And because of them, I kept going
Nagkamali ako. Nadapa. Pero bumangon ulit.
Hindi ako sinubok ni Lord. God prepared me so I can do this.
God prepared me and improved me as a person, as a coach, and as a mentor, so I can help more people than I could have imagined.
If my program stayed the same as it was years ago, I do not think I would be able to reach thousands of people like where I am today.
This would not be possible if I remained my old self.
The hate, negative comments, and feedback from people pushed me to do better, to improve, and to turn those negatives into positives.
It was not easy.
There was a point when it felt easier to give up. To just abandon my online course rather than endure all the pain it brought me.
But I was already working flexible hours. I was already earning more than enough to live comfortably, whether at home or anywhere I wanted to be.
And deep inside, I knew, I could still do more.
And in that moment, I realized, it was no longer about the money.
I was way past that phase.
Teaching Filipinos how to become Facebook Media Buyers had become a mission.
It is my way of paying it forward. To help those struggling financially. To share knowledge. To give hope that they too can succeed as Facebook Media Buyers.
That is why I am more than willing to duplicate myself for others.
